This epic great value 7 day RealSwim Adventure takes us to the beautiful Tonga Island group of Vava’u. Vava’u is a collection of approximately 40 Islands in the far northern Tongan territory. It’s special for clear warm (26-27C) water and fantastic marine life. Tonga and the VaVa’u Island group are still relatively quiet tourist destinations especially in the month of June, which is known for its dry and mild days. You’ll have the opportunity to complete nine epic ocean swims during this Tongan RealSwim Adventure.
The trip cost includes your accommodation at the lovely, tranquil beachfront Tongan Beach Resort, complete with daily breakfast, transport on the island, our charter boat, full swim support and guiding, lunch on the boat, a swim cap and as always, an awesome time to create lasting memories!
Getting there…either with Air New Zealand to Nuku’lofa in Tonga, and then on to Vava’u with REALTonga. You can get good deals, but your luggage allowance with REALTonga is just 15kg, and if your flight is cancelled there is no airline support. You can also travel with FijiAirways via Nadi overnight, and then direct into Vava’u.
Arrive in Vava’u. Afternoon meet and greet at the resort, pre-swim briefing and group dinner.
Travel recovery day. We think this day is important and will enable you to get the most out of the rest of the trip. We’ll relax at the resort and your guides will be available for 121 coaching in the pool for anyone wanting to tidy up their stroke. We’ll also complete a small ocean acclimatization swim.
Day One out on our charter boat with the awesome Dive Tonga crew for two swims, morning and afternoon, with lunch on the go.
Our second day on our Dive Tonga charter boat for two swims, morning and afternoon, again with lunch on the go.
Today we will be swimming in the morning only. This provides you the opportunity to explore land based activities, experience more of the local culture or simply relax on the beach right at your front door.
Another full day out on our charter boat for two more swims morning and afternoon, with lunch on the go.
Our final day with the fun Dive Tonga crew on our charter boat for a swim both morning and afternoon. Once again lunch is on the go.
We wrap up our week with a sunrise swim at the hotel before our final team breakfast, after which it will be time to depart the beautiful Vava’u.
